Fricking hate summer.

Post 260 by the waaaay.

Sitting here rocking out to 3OH!3, not really sure what to post or discuss since I'm basically the lamest mother-effer on the planet compared to others on here. Ya'll are putting me to shame.

Since I has no monies I suppose I won't be doing any more shows this fall, unless I can scrap up something by the 22nd, but I don't see that happening.

I also was SUPPOSED to go to the AEC's to groom for Stacey and another friend, but not only do I not have gas $$ for that drive, but work blacked out that weekend months ago because of football games and I couldn't RO even if I wanted to. GAH. HATE.

Lets see, been doing some of this...

Gave him a mohawk, which I think looks pretty fly. Also note how very fat he is...yes, thats a good thing.  He is also shiny but filthy indoor mirrors cloak that a bit.

Slowly and steadly working on getting that topline back. Luckily his transitions are still perfect and he's doing a stellar job reaching forward and down in all 3 gaits. I have problems not asking for too much, forgetting he's out of shape a bit. Been jumping a little too, but nothing serious since we have nothing to work towards.

Sorry I've been slacking on posts, but our rides/lives are uninteresting and with no Jackie to snap pics, I HATE blogging without them.

Also, I really hate...like, LOATHE being outside when its hot and muggy. It was 80s for a week and I got all the things done. I was the responsibility champ! But then it got hot again and I'm like

...so I don't.

On a different note, I don't know what the drought situation is like for all ya'll, but hay here is RIDICULOUS. I didn't realize it till I started hunting again ( I have about 15 bales left). Luckily I'm only buying hay for one horse and I spent $90 on 45 bales (which IS record cheap) in May, which has lasted me a long time with the grass we DID have.

Now though since we've had like and inch of rain this summer total (record that stood since like 1970) and the ground looks like Texas and everywhere is crunchy, hay is at $11/bale AVERAGE.

Yes, yes, I know, some of you pay this on a regular basis, so I shouldn't bitch, blah blah blah. BUT this is why I don't live in places where hay is that expensive. I absolutely cannot afford it. NORMALLY summers here are not this bad and we have plenty of hay to get us through winter.

So that means if I were to get the shittiest hay possible in the area (a lot of places are selling at $6-which is still high, but its like 5 hours away) it'd still be like $8/bale meaning I would have to get AT LEAST 40 bales...thats $320....THREE HUNNIT TWENTY for Christs sake!! I spent $90 last time!!!! And that 40 won't even last me through fall since there is no more grass..

gah.gah.gah.gah.gah.gah.gah.gah. <----panick attacking.

Excuse me while I go die now.

I do it for you bubba.

For Funsies

Yankee panties as a wittle baby thoroughbred.

DOHHHHHHH.

But seriously how HIDEOUS is that green halter....with bling. What was I thinking.

I found this while going through pics waiting to go into work. I was seriously bored.

I would update ya'll on my rides, but without pictures its just not as fun. Maybe one day I will condense it all down and make a post or something.

I needs a camera.

Colbert Piaffe's

I pretty much died while watching this.

Though, a passage is not "sideways prancing" as we all know.

But it was still really funny.

I'm Exceptionally Positive I'm Bipolar

...About riding, the weather, how fat I feel and such that is. Or maybe the WEATHER is bipolar and it seriously effects my productivity.

After my RAH RAH post about getting back on my horse, I had a meltdown and decided I was no longer going to ride...pretty much ever (see depressing FB status on July 25). And I changed my mind again. And again again. And now after watching the BAMFs in the Olympics, I decided I was going to the next one in 2016. And then it got hot again.

My poor pony.

Luckily I HAVE decided that I'm not going to stop riding for good, and once I get a solid, oh SIX paychecks under my belt and my finances taken care of, I will "start" showing again in September.

I say "start" because really that is the end of the season for MO, but there are a few nice jumper and CT shows nearby that are reasonably cheap that would be fun to do. Chesterfield has an amazing Jumper show at Ridgefield that I am absolutely going to do on the 22nd of Sept. I MUST.

I WANT TO WIN A BLUE NECK RIBBON SO BAD.

In the meantime, with the new jobs, classes beginning (hell weeks in CoMo) for students and fall settling in, I hope (crosses fingers jobs and laziness don't prevail) that I can do one jump sesh a week, one hack and one dressage school. I feel like I can do 3 rides a week. Not hard.

Especially once the weather settles its crazy ass down and gets back to normal temperatures I feel I will be wildly successful.

I gave my dressage saddle to Jackie to borrow till she gets her own so we shall dressage in jump tack! RAH! I can't believe I SHOWED eventing in jump tack for years. I only aquired a dressage saddle about 5 years ago.

Anyways, here is a sweet picture of all the ribbons I've won with the ponyface in Eventing and dressage. Didn't realize how many!

Mother of God

I just realized....with Jackie gone now...who is to take all the pictures of our badassery??

A) The boyfriend would not be thrilled, methinks
B) my camera committed suicide.

Also. I'm pretty certain that old saying "money doesn't buy happiness" is absolutely false.

I FINALLY got a REAL life, big girl job and felt the most giant weight lifted off my shoulders...and I've been on a rockin' mood even if when the two horses I was handling got in a tussle and my smartphones screen shattered.

Don't care ...yet lol

Poor Fat Thoroughbred

I have two posts to write in addition to this one, but whenever I get pictures, I can't not post them right away. I'm a picture whore, along with pillow and tack.

Anyways.

I am unable to ride till next week, for disclosed personal reasons, but I needed Yankee worked for the girl who is (supposedly) coming to try him out on Saturday.

OH HERRO Jackie. The badass of all badasses that saves mine on a weekly basis. I believe she rode him 4 times this week? Either way, got his fat (WHAT?! never thought I'd ever say that) Thoroughbred ass back into shape worked a little. Poor chap was slightly confused that his 5 week, daily-lazy-routine got disrupted by tiny blonde person, but he got over it...

..plenty of carrots helped him cope.

I only watched for two days because on top of the non-riding reason, I also have a wicked summer cold. FML right? Yesterday she did a little dressage, but we wanted to keep it short since it was still 102 at 8PM.

Let me reiterate how much I hate the Midwest, here. IT F**KING BLOWS AND SUMMER CAN DIE.

I'm about to lose it with the picture situation so they will be out of order. Some even deleted themselves like little bitches, so who knows where the flip they went. Lots more on my facebook.

Yankee was pretty perfect. I was relieved because he was seriously awful for me last Friday. He maliciously tried to buck me off and almost succeeded because I was caught very unaware. Dirty tricks...very dirty.

He's so perfect!

Like, I am seriously IN LOVE with this canter.
And look at this sexual trot. Gawd, He's a beast,
Even his free walk was fantastic. I'm pretty sure we kept it under 20 minutes, but he deserved the short work. Not only was it hotter than shit outside, but he was perfect. Absolutely. PRAISE JACKIE for her magic riding skillz.

He says, " I am perfect, and cute, and here is my cookieface. Now give me cookies!"

Today I dragged myself out of bed, coughing up a storm and was pleasantly surprised by the "nice" weather outside. It was only like 85 degrees and had just rained sprinkled! LAWDY. I thought I died and went to heaven.

Yankee was a grumpy bitch since it was only 11:30 and had recently risen from his first beauty sleep of the day. I told him to get over it. He told me to shove it.

What he didn't know was that Jackie and I had set up a fun little course to stretch his leggies over after a solid 5 week hiatus (minus the 3 times e's been schooled over baby fences in the past week and a half).

We were both happy to see that he settled nicely into the bridle (even without a bit...swoon) and worked forward from the get-go, despite his lack of energy earlier.

He was basically a boss. No surprise there.

Attacking the corner

Lawl, deer hopping the oxer the first time.

There we go. :D
Getting slightly confused about distances. Too much excitement apparently.
Scary vertical.

What a fatass. The horse, not Jackie. Geez.
His Snooki glasses. Make shim look distinuished.

That is all for now. I prefer to let the pictures speak for themselves, since I hate reading long paragraphs myself.

Later this week posts about feelings. OOOOOOO.

Jackie got a horse!

I was going to see if Jackie was going to blog about her new bundle of joy...but she didn't.

SO, I will introduce the bloggin' world the beautiful grey mare that Jackie can now call her own, Isis! (to be renamed eventually)...aint' she a purty thang!?

OH and not only is she totally gorgeous but she a BAMF over fences...

SWOON. She needs to jump that mare higher ;)

Love her trot! I', pretty upset I have yet to see miss mare, but she lives in KC, Missouri and Jackie will be moving there in a week-ish, so she won't be coming up to CoMo. ROAD TRIP to see new ponyface!

So of course this means Yankee is now again up for lease, and I have a girl from Ohio (the motherland) who is coming to try him on the 28th. I'm scurrying to get him relatively back in shape before then but 100+ temps are yet again making it difficult to ride without dying. Pretty positive I almost stroked out yesterday.

More on my feelings about Yankee potentially moving back to Ohio and me being horse-less...but for now I have to go to my J-O-B.
