OUCH.

...says my bank account.

Not only is this the time of month that all bills are due, but I just paid for my first  HT, a schooling dressage show, and XC schooling for mid-April PLUS bought a lever noseband off eBay for $65.

I should be happy...but an empty account gives me anxiety. Like, lie awake at night anxiety.

Lets hope I make big money this week or I may have to curl in a ball and sob over what is my life. WHY DID I HAVE TO FALL IN LOVE WITH THE MOST EXPENSIVE SPORT. Well. The one that is the most expensive in relation to how much you get from it. Which is basically $0. Unless you count happiness. But happiness doesn't pay my entry fees. Or gas.

I shed a tear. Or few. BUT I am looking forward to them! I just have to sob for a while over my literally hard earned money getting pissed away in less than 10 minutes.

We had a glorious ride today though and it really put me in positive spirits. The pony was absolutely a gem; loose, free, relaxed, obedient. I didn't ride earlier this week due to the winter blues, but I plan on doing our weekly conditioning ride tomorrow, Thursday off, jump Fri, light work Sat, off Sun. due to my busy sch Thurs/Sun.

The schooling show is on the 7th and then we have two opps for XC schooling- the last two weekends in April. I'm not going to Rolex anymore, but its just as well since I NEEEEEED to school. Need.

Wish I had more flat pictures. Words are boring.

Also I'm sorry I ruined WD for a few. I was just...so traumatized.

  1. It's only money, you can't take it with you ;)
Kidding, I completely understand. It's good to have a horse you can ride and who loves you, but of course you want to go out and show them off! And that costs more money. Good luck. I'll send you a 5# bag of $20's when I win the lottery!

  2. I think sailing is more expensive than riding. Not sure though, lol. I feel your pain. I keep telling myself that I'll turn the corner and have more money in the future, but everything keeps costing money. :-(

    Show sounds fun.

  3. I have a secret to tell you. I have a job that pays me way more than I have ever made in my life, and quite possibly way more than I am worth. In spite of that I am always just barely one step ahead of the bill collectors. Probably because I chose to have children who tend to suck you dry financially, 4 bad horses, instead of just 1 good one. So I am learning that it doesn't matter how much money we have, it is never enough.

With all that in mind, I did get that pay pal account set up and do have your money set aside....when ever you are ready. Not trying to pressure you, creative genius takes as long as it takes, but just wanted to let you know that I am prepared.

  5. I feel your pain on the money... I had to ask my mom to help me cover last month's bills.......... I HATE doing that. :/ Makes me feel like a loser lol. I am very appreciative to have a mom who can and will help me though. :) Hang in there. Hopefully everything will turn around for you financially.
