Contest Time!

Oh, baby, we made it! 100 beautiful, interesting, wonderful followers! I love it :)

As promised, I shall be running a contest for anyone who wants to enter. Its pretty simple. I have a trivia question for you, I want your answers, and the winner(s) get a hand drawn portrait of their baby! Horse babies, not real ones.

Note I said winners. Yep. Two. I shall explain.

There is only 2 answers to the trivia question, true, or false. I will draw a winner from the correct answer and the incorrect. The correct answer winner will win a 9x12 drawing out of any medium (your choice). The incorrect answer winner will win a 5x6 graphite drawing. I will frame them, but I can't promise they will be fancy since I am post-graduate poor.

To see some examples of what mediums and styles I am most proficient with, click here.

Now, drumroll please........(pretend you hear one)...

Q: True or False, Yankee can freejump up to 5ft.

If you want to include with your answer a little bit about yourself and your horse(s), I would love that! Not necessary to win, but I know there are some of you that aren't in my blogroll and/or frequent commenters.

Contest runs for one week, so it closes next Saturday.

Hope you guys find this fun!

As for the previous comments on my last post, I appreciate them as always :) Getting and keeping a rock solid core is difficult. I loved the comment about the "photo clinic", I didn't even think about the landing equitation part of a fence!

  1. I vote TRUE. Because even if he hasn't done it (*yet*). It's probably just cause he doesn't want to embarrass all the other less boss ponies. Bam.

  2. TRUE, i think, well hope. My pony horse is Super Kid and we like to think we are big and tall and 17h but we are a little short at about 15h.

  5. I say True unless it's a trick question and it's really that he can jump up to like 15' or something. You're pretty much a boss, Yankee.

  6. Definitely TRUE! My little Morgan mare would definitely have a crush on Mr. Yanks, he's just such a BAMF.

  7. TRUE because Yankee is awesome and I think I remember reading it somewhere! My name's Amber and while I don't own my own horse yet I ride a 17hh irish sports horse called Gatsby that means more to me than anything! He used to be a cross country horse and now does dressage :)

  9. I am going to go with the flow and say that it is true as well :) Because Yankee is pretty awesome!

  10. I'm going to say FALSE just to be different :D

  11. I would certainly say true! If my TWH turned eventer can free jump almost 4 feet, Yankee can certainly jump 5!

  12. I'm thinking it's true! About me: Owner of a welsh D mare who's a whole lot of fun. ( her, not me, I'm kinda boring ;)

  14. True! He could do it in his sleep!

  15. I think he can do it, but I'm going with FALSE to even-out the playing field!

  16. I'm going with FALSE, mostly because I like my odds with that answer. :) For the record, I think Yankee could totally do it with his eyes closed.

  17. TRUE! My Diva would totally run around the 5' jump to chase after the lovely Yankee!

  18. False. Odds way higher of getting my name drawn this way.

  19. Congrats on reaching 100! I'm going to say false, strictly due to odds :)

  20. I think False. He'll get there though!

  23. Hmmm, I think the right answer is true. And I want to be in the right answer column for the bigger drawing.

  24. So torn between my desire to be correct and my desire to better my odds of getting a drawing...

    1. I CAN'T BELIEVE I MISSED THE DEADLINE BECAUSE I WAS DEBATING WHETHER OR NOT TO SAY TRUE (HE'S DONE 5'3''!) OR FALSE TO BETTER THE ODDS OF GETTING A DRAWING.

Yargh. Caps 100% necessary. I'm very annoyed.

      !!!!11!one

    3. Aww, thanks. I appreciate the inclusion, haha.

I'm a new follower though, so I can't take credit for remembering. Just for being dedicated enough to search it out, haha.

  25. Tr-alse...umm that isn't a world... True?
So even being asked this question, MAJOR test anxiety kicked in and I am all panicky...

  26. True, now do it on his back! Eventer in NJ here with several ponies and a baby on the way! (horse not human)

  27. Aww..... do I want better odds or bigger drawing? Oh heck I probably won't win anyway, but to better my odds I'm saying false, even though I know that is not correct LOL! I can't believe I almost missed the deadline! I've been so busy. I'm glad I checked since I am so super excited about this contest. Oh and if I were to win you don't have to frame it for me! I like picking out frames. :D Oh a little about myself... I'm in my twenties (sadly past the mid point sniffle) and I've been riding since I was five. It's always been my dream to own a Friesian and in 2009 I finally got Chrome, my Friesian/Arabian cross who was five months old when I got him (I've been blogging about him since the day I brought him home hehe). We will be doing Competitive Trail Riding and Dressage eventually... once we master steering haha! I wish this weather would clear up. :D
